Shipment Receiving Agreement:
Inspect Prior to Signing: You must thoroughly inspect shipments prior to accepting them. Any damage to exterior packaging or the product itself should be brought to the delivery driver’s attention and noted on their delivery receipt, or the carrier will not accept liability for damage claims. If the delivery driver will not allow you the proper time to inspect the freight, write “DAMAGED” on their delivery receipt as a safeguard. National Fleet Products will not be able to assist with product replacement/repair without customer incurring additional cost if any damage is not documented at time of delivery.
If Freight is Damaged: Please follow these steps in the event of damaged/missing freight:
-
Clearly document any damage to the exterior packaging or product itself on the driver’s delivery receipt.
-
Take photos of the damaged packaging and product.
-
Refuse delivery of the product.
-
Contact our office immediately, and we will open a damage claim with the carrier. Note that the carrier will not report damaged freight on your behalf – it is your responsibility to report it to us.
